call for volunteers!

We are looking for volunteers for Temple’s Health & Wellness Expo to be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Mayborn Convention Center.

This is a new and different type of Expo as we are combining it with an America 250 Celebration, and we are offering all day activities for families so they can get out of the heat and understand that wellness is about family, being healthy and feeling good.

Here are the shifts:

10 am – 12 pm  South Door Monitor, North Door Monitor, Greeter, Registration 

12 pm – 2 pm  South Door Monitor, North Door Monitor, Greeter, Registration 

2 pm – 4 pm South Door Monitor, North Door Monitor, Greeter, Registration

GREETERS: Many families attending the Expo may be new to this type of event, so we want to make sure they feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Greeters are needed to warmly welcome guests, answer questions, and help create a positive and inviting experience for everyone.

MONITORS: Because we are encouraging families to attend the Expo, safety is a top priority. We need volunteers stationed at the doors to help ensure that children do not leave the venue without an accompanying adult.

REGISTRATION: We have someone working with the monies, but we need a volunteer to assist taking the pre-purchased tickets and possibly giving out arm bands.

ATTIRE: We ask that all volunteers wear red, white, and blue during the Expo so they can be easily identified. You will be provided with a volunteer lanyard, which should be passed on to the next volunteer when your shift ends.

In exchange, we would like to offer 4 free tickets, and of course you will have a chance to enjoy the wonderful exhibits and activities.
